Interview – OLLY: “Tutta Vita” is our way of facing life

Interviews

“Tutta Vita”, Olly's album of unreleased songs, will be released on Friday 25 October.

A collective album, produced by JVLI, which starts from the singer-songwriter to tell the “us” that surrounds him and extends to his generation until it reaches everyone.

THE DISC

The album tells the story of our last two years, mine and Jvli's.

We worked a lot and I mainly focused on writing, production and choosing sounds.

With Jvli we lived together. He dedicated his soul, body, time and space to me.

In the 12 tracks we talk about our personal experiences together with those of our friends, extending to the people who, in various capacities, have entered our lives to include an entire generation.

“All of life” is that expression that is used when something goes wrong, but you still get up and move forward; it is a sign of positivity, a phrase we say to each other among friends and which represents my, our, way of facing life.”

THE SINGLE

The release of “Tutta vita” was anticipated by the publication of the more recent Per due come noi, co-written by Olly and Angelina Mango and produced by the two artists together with JVLI, an important collaboration born spontaneously from a relationship of mutual respect between the very young artists.

I was very happy with this song, right from its genesis. It was born on the sofa in my house. Jvli had just ended a relationship and had just moved out of his old house and came to stay with me. It was precisely the story of a moment of absolute truth, more his story than mine.

When I saw Angelina perform on several occasions, I thought she was perfect for this song.
I am totally in love with her way of being on stage, of writing, of singing and I gave her the very song I was most attached to, even risking it in some way, because for me the song was already done and finished. But I am of the opinion that taking risks, when it comes to artists, must always be done in some way.
And obviously it totally lived up to my expectations.

Angelina wrote a verse that in my opinion is a very clear insight into what relationships are for our generations.
We also often talk about toxic relationships, about difficulties, and I see that people are interpreting this very well. In this way, well, it's all the result of a journey.
