Jake E. Lee, now a member of the Red Dragon Cartel, was walking his dog in Las Vegas at the time of the shooting.

Jake E. Lee, a guitarist known for his recordings with Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands, was shot multiple times during a shooting in Las Vegas early Tuesday morning. Lee's representative confirmed the information to WECB, specifying that he “ expected to make a full recovery » : « Lee is fully conscious and doing well in the intensive care unit of a Las Vegas hospital. Las Vegas authorities believe the shooting was coincidental and occurred while Lee was walking his dog in the early morning hours. Over the past decade, Lee has recorded with Red Dragon Cartel, who released a self-titled album in 2014 and a sequel, Patinain 2018. In recent years, the guitarist suffered from wrist pain, which prevented him from performing in concerts. In a recent interview with Tone-Talkhe explained that what he initially thought was carpal tunnel syndrome turned out to be a lack of cartilage in his right hand. He focused on pain management and physical therapy to get back in shape: “ I've been playing again, for about two months, and I want to go on tour. I want to finish the tour Patina, which was canceled due to Covid. I would like to do that (with) Red Dragon Cartel, focus on the album Patina and make other recordings. »

After being part of the early lineups of Ratt, Rough Cutt and Dio, Lee immediately gained the status of guitar hero teaming up with Ozzy Osbourne in the early eighties. He joined him for the writing and recording of the album Bark at the Moon. He was fired in 1987 due to personal differences with other band members after touring the following album, The Ultimate Sin.

Jake E. Lee later formed the blues-rock band Badlands with another former Black Sabbath singer, Ray Gillen, and released three albums between 1989 and 1998. He also released three solo albums and played guitar on the Enuff Z'nuff album, Dissonancereleased in 2009.
