ORNELLA VANONI "Diverse" is not a record for listening but for dancing!

Ornella Vanoni releases “Diverse”, her new recording project out on Friday 18 October.

An album that arrives a few weeks after his incredible achievement 90 years old, composed of some of Ornella's greatest timeless hits – recorded ad hoc by her and revisited by the best Italian producers – which shine again to the rhythm of contemporary sounds, winking at the disco sound of the 70s and electro music.

THE NEW ARRANGEMENTS

The new arrangements of Perduto with the production of heysimo, Io so che ti loverò, Ricetta di donna and Ti I want (with Elodie and Ditonellapiaga) with the production of Giordano Colombo, Arcobaleno with the production of Protopapa & Dumar, Musica Musica with the production by BRAIL, Eyes in eyes with the production of Bruno Bellissimo, Io che amo solo te with the production of Hey Cabrera!, For a friend with the production of Sol Novaro, A beautiful girl with the production of Marco Maiole, Vai Valentina with the production of Lorenzo Morresi and Details with the production of okgiorgio and daniele, confirm once again Ornella's incredible ability to renew herself by experimenting with music.

THE STORY

Thinking about how much music and sounds have changed today, I decided to get involved and dive into the wave of modernity by collecting some of my most classic songs, the ones I like the most, to make them up to date also thanks to the collaboration with young and really good producers.”

One day Ornella came into the office huffing and saying that she always had to sing to the same old backing tracks. We seized the opportunity and here is “Diverse”, a beautiful album with an eye to the past and an ear turned to the future.

Diverse” is not an album of new songs, which is why it manages to be a very courageous project and like all courageous projects it risks surprising and dividing: the risk is that part of Ornella's audience may feel disoriented, that they will be caught out unaware and in some cases preferring the originals, but Ornella, when she christened this album with the title “Diverse”, wanted these songs to be truly “different” and that words and melodies, when they become eternal, are regardless of the sound with which they are born or in which they evolve”.

REGISTRATION

Ornella's voices were recorded by Stefano Giungato and followed by Fabio Ilacqua, with the exception of those of Sant'Allegria which date back to the recording of the original version and the voices of Elodie and Ditonellapiaga for the track Ti massimo (with Elodie and Ditonellapiaga). THE FORMATS

Diverse will be available digitally and in three exclusive physical formats (numbered colored RED Eco-friendly Limited Edition vinyl, numbered and starred Stars Limited Edition vinyl, Deluxe CD), the latter enriched by the bonus track Sant'Allegria (Jack Sani Remix). To embellish the tracklist of the digital version and the Deluxe CD I want you (with Elodie and Ditonellapiaga).

The visual masterpiece that accompanies the new album is the cover of Diverse: wrapped in a mantle of fiery red tulle – a symbol of passion and vitality – Ornella Vanoni releases her unmistakable timeless elegance. The image curated by Riccardo Bellei and the Shipmate team, rich in contrasts and chiaroscuro, fully reflects the soul of this recording project: an invitation to rediscover Ornella's songs in a new light.

THE PARTY

Last night the presentation party of the new album “Diverse” took place in Milan: after a short introductory speech by Dino Stewart, Ornella's friends and relatives and the producers who participated in the album welcomed the lady of the Italian music who thanked everyone present for their affection and constant support, inviting everyone to listen to “Diverse”, which is a record worth dancing to! Among those present also Ditonellapiaga who collaborated with Ornella and Elodie in the song Ti I Want (with Elodie and Ditonellapiaga), released on the occasion of the artist's 90th birthday.
