The Mexican trio ACTYknown for his style that fuses psych, shoegaze and post punk sounds, has released his latest single titled “National Scene”. This song reflects the difficulties that independent bands face in today's music scene, highlighting the lack of recognition and the obstacles they must overcome to be valued.
Recorded in Testa Studio by Cesar Saldivar and mastered by Martin Thulin, “National Scene” presents a scathing critique of the treatment emerging bands receive in the industry. The lyrics expose how these groups are relegated to opening concerts without payment or recognition, while the most popular bands enjoy fame despite their lack of musical quality.
The single is part of an upcoming LP that will be released in October, and follows the success of its first preview “You don't see me”. ACTY continues to show his ability to combine poetry, art and music with deep and critical messages. The art of the song was made by the Tepejana artist Ohfanncomplementing the creative and critical essence of the band.
