Katy Perry and Doechii, a dose of sensuality and femininity in 'I'm his, He's mine'

Music news

Katy Perry is about to launch 143her new and sixth studio album, which comes four years after her last major release. After presenting the singles WOMAN'S WORLD and LIFETIMESthe Californian presents the last one before we can discover the complete work. This last song is I'M HIS, HE'S MINEan ode to sensuality and femininity that comes from the hand of Doechii.

With a catchy rhythm, the singer and rapper manage to continue in the wake of what was being 143 So far. Electronic pop, very little shame and a desire to enjoy every note that comes out of the speakers when you press play. Also, this catchy melody may sound familiar to you, as the artists have sampled a classic of 90s music: Gypsy Woman (She's homeless)an original song by Crystal Waters.

The lyrics of this song, besides having a highly erotic and carnal component, also serve as a hint for all those people who love to meddle in other people's relationships. In response to this, Katy Perry makes it very clear: “I'm his, he's mine” (I am his and he is mine).

Katy Perry's second music video filmed in Spain

You will be surprised to know that, of the three songs of this new era, Katy Perry has recorded two music videos in our country. The first one was LIFETIMESfilmed in the Balearic Islands this summer, alternating images between Ibiza and Formentera, and the second has been this I'M HIS, HE'S MINEWhen Katy Perry made a surprise appearance in Barcelona last July, it wasn't just because she wanted to come to the Churros con chocolate party, but another reason was to record some of the visuals for this third single.

The location may seem most peculiar to you, because it is the University Villa of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB)in Cerdanyola del Vallès. The buildings that appear in some scenes of the video correspond to the Agency for the Promotion of Activities and Congresses or the Taller Hotel on Campus. In fact, on some occasions you can see signs with the UAB logo.

It seems that pop divas love to shoot music videos in our country. Artists like Dua Lipa, with Physical and Illusionor Zara Larsson, with On My Lovehave made it clear that they love Spain as a location to accompany some of their most famous songs.
