TODAYS 2024 – ARLO PARKS tonight in concert (Lineup and Tickets)

Music news

It's ARLO PARKS' night at TODAYS 2024. The singer will perform after TANGERINE DREAM, ENGLISH TEACHER, BIRTHH and GIØVE.

After the opening night of the concerts at the Main Stage of TODAYS 2024 with Jeremiah Fraites (The Lumineers), Bab L' Buz, Addict Ameba and Sasso, last night Turin hosted the only highly anticipated Italian date of LCD SOUNDYSTEM: a live show that enchanted and made the audience at Parco della Confluenza dance, with a dense and rich setlist of the songs that have made the band led by James Murphy one of the most iconic in the history of music in recent decades. Before them on stage NATION OF LANGUAGE, KHOMPA FEAT. AKASHA AND GIULIA'S MOTHER.

ARLO PARKS arrives in Turin after the release of her second album “My Soft Machine”, released in 2023 by Transgressive Records. The artist – who has won over illustrious fans such as Billie Eilish, Florence Welch, Michelle Obama, Angel Olsen, Phoebe Bridgers, Massive Attack and the famous writer Zadie Smith – has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, and has won a Mercury Prize and a Brit Award. The singer-songwriter won over audiences and critics with her first EP “Sophie” (2019) and with her debut album (2021) “Collapsed in Sunbeams”.

Her second studio album “My Soft Machine” is a deeply personal work, a narrative of ARLO PARKS’ experiences in her twenties. The record explores her worldview, intertwined with larger life experiences: trauma, upbringing, vulnerability. It offers a glimpse through her lens, through her body, as she navigates anxiety, substance abuse among friends, the internal explosion of first love, and the challenges of post-traumatic stress and grief. It’s a journey of self-sabotage and joy, wonder and sensitivity, like feeling trapped in a body that traverses complex worlds.

Tonight's live performance promises to be a reflection of this complexity and emotional depth, and will once again confirm to the Italian public that ARLO PARKS is one of the most interesting singer-songwriters on the international music scene.
