Interview – LIL JOLIE: With this EP I want to be surprised by life

Interviews

“LA VITA NON UCCIDE” is the new EP by LIL JOLIE, a young singer-songwriter among the protagonists of the latest edition of Amici.

The EP “LA VITA NON UCCIDE” is a hymn to living life with all its nuances, because no emotion is wrong or inferior to another, if you truly live them.
A mantra that embodies a different emotion with each song.

The tracklist is like the index of a book in which each chapter tells the fleeting nature of things and at the same time their eternal being – says Lil Jolie – A bit like the waves of the sea that always change shape and impetus, but that then always return to the beach and in their disappearance they shape it”.

We met her and asked her to tell us about her debut.

THE ALBUM TRACK BY TRACK

Life does not kill – This first track is a storytelling of the artist's life, an invitation to always remember that sooner or later good things come.

Kiss Me – It is the single that anticipated the release of the EP, it describes a forbidden but free, mental and passionate love, which goes in time with the heart and freely in thoughts.

Moment – A snapshot taken by Lil Jolie in which she represents that moment in which she cannot enjoy a precise instant and which later becomes the fixed point in her mind

Folly – a song written by Lil Jolie and with which the singer-songwriter made her entrance into Amici.

It's not the end – is a warning that Lil Jolie addresses to herself, to that version of Angela who is sometimes scared and confused, to whom she reminds not to be afraid and to try to let herself fall anyway, because not even the bottom can be the end,

For Elisa – The live recording of the cover of Alice's song that Lil Jolie performed during the Amici tour.

ABOUT LIL JOLIE

Class of 00, originally from Caserta and Milanese by adoption. Lil Jolie stood out at Amici23 thanks to her shy but determined character and the elegance of her lyrics. Raised as a rebellious child, who breaks the rules and begins to study guitar just to oppose the routine, in 2018 she began to assert herself on SoundCloud, where she was noticed and appreciated by the urban and hip hop scene so much so that she published feats with Carl Brave and Ketama126 before publishing her first EP, in 2022, “Bambina”. In the album we find “Sola” written together with Franco126, “Soliloquio” written with her musical travel companion Vale LP and “Tarassaco e Lacrime” together with Edonico.

The following year she was admitted to the most famous school on TV: Amici.
