We have to admit that we did not see it coming. And we are not talking about the collaboration between Justin Timberlake and NSync of which the performer himself had already confirmed something during his promotional interviews in TV; but the way of announcing it. Because the former boyband and now soloist put up a gigantic billboard in Los Angeles to reveal his feature with his bandmates as well as the other 17 songs from his new record project.
Everything I though it was will go on sale next March 15 and in the countdown the American performer has confirmed all the titles that will be part of this musical adventure that includes several more collaborations in addition to the one mentioned.
Almost twenty hits that make it clear that Justin Timberlake is living in one of the most prolific moments of his career, as he confirmed during an interview with Zane Love on Apple Music: “I worked for a long time on this album and ended up with 100 songs. Reducing them to 18 was a challenge and now I am very excited about this album. I think all artists say it, but it is my best work.”
As the artist already told us, his collaboration with his former boyband colleagues was a fact: “We have been in the studio. So there may be something in the future. That was fun. It was a little crazy: there are so many things that continue right where they left off as far as chemistry goes.” And we must not rule out that this first chapter of the reunion could continue in 2025.
So far we have been able to listen to two singles (Selfish and Drown) in which the performer shows a new self, much more mature and even with a certainly familiar touch to which we were not accustomed: “I feel very good with the thoughts, emotions and feelings that have arisen in me when writing these songs and with the people with whom I have collaborated and with whom I have shared these moments. I feel that I have been able, in some of the songs, to look at the past and have a real, unrefracted perspective of what has been; because you always hear “That there is never any truth, there is only everyone’s perspective on what happened, but really looking at it and being able to metabolize and verbalize my perspective on it is something that I don’t think I’ve ever done before.”
The countdown to the release of the album with which Justin Timberlake will break 6 years of recording silence has begun. And it will only take the artist a month to embark on the world tour The Forget Tomorrow that will take you across the United States this spring and bring you to Europe in the summer. Unfortunately there is no confirmed date for the Spanish public at the moment.
