“Calm Down”: Rema ignites the BRIT Awards live

Music news

The Nigerian singer marked the BRIT Awards ceremony on March 2 by performing his hit “Calm Down” in an impressive orchestrated version.

There were lots of people on the stage of the Brit Awards on March 2, the British musical ceremony of the year. Intended for the coronation of the deserving artist Raye, who won a record six awards, the event offered, once again this year, remarkable performances like those of the big winner of the evening, but also of Dua Lipa or Kylie Minogue – honored with a “global icon” trophy – or the Canadian Tate McRae.

But another performance thrilled the audience at the O2 Arena. It must be said that its author has delivered a real demonstration. Two years after his monumental success, Rema offered an impressive live version of his hit “Calm Down” in a setting worthy of the cinema. A demonstration both in terms of orchestration and scenography.

Rema: three dates in Europe this summer

The viral phenomenon of 2022, which Selena Gomez joined, by signing a feat with the Nigerian artist for the remix of “Calm Down” literally ignited the public obviously still attached to the title.

In recent months, the Nigerian star has not remained inactive since Rema released the EP “Ravage”, a five-track including the tracks “DND” and “Trouble Maker”. As for concerts, the singer will perform in three European festivals this summer: on June 26 at the Praia Da Rocha festival, in Portugal, then at Wireless Finsbury Park, in London, on July 14 and finally on the Belgian side, at the Dour Festival on July 20.
