RHOVE “Populari” will be released on March 29th, his first album

His first album arrives for Rhove. “Popolari” is the title of the album released on Friday 29 March.

Popular is my first album. It’s time to let you listen to something that represents me. I told about my life and that of some kids like us, I stayed here in Rho because I have always needed simplicity and in the end it became our strength.” – says Rhove.

The artist also presented a black and white teaser trailer on social media that previews the new album.

We grew up in a city that had little, but a lot to say. I was simply the first to do it. I was among kids who wasted their days on distractions. I, on the other hand, went to the studio until late at night. I was trying to change my future and I wanted to become an example, a light for the kids I grew up with. The desire for redemption, a light at the end of the tunnel, the demonstration that it is not impossible to make a change in one’s life: these are just some of the themes announced on the album.

Rhove managed to establish himself on the Italian music scene, simultaneously conquering the digital charts (13 Platinum discs and 9 Gold discs, almost 2 billion streams accumulated in total) and the radio charts with songs that have become true generational hits (from “Shakerando” , 6 times Platinum, through “Cancelo”, Platinum up to “La Province#1” and “Compliquè”, both Platinum).

THE HITS

The album “POPOLARI” was preceded by “Pelé”, a hit with 60 million streams and certified double Platinum, by the summer single “Ancora” (Platinum) and by the hit “Petit Fou Fou” with ANNA (certified Gold), which it reached position #2 in the Spotify singles chart (still among the most listened to songs on digital platforms).

RHOVE, born in 2001, started rapping from an early age, performing in community centers and nightclubs. He stands out for his atypical and innovative personality and musical style. First of all, he is a “provincial” rapper and not “suburban” as he likes to point out in his lyrics and in his music. His stage name is, in fact, a play on words between the abbreviation of his surname Samuel Roveda and the province of origin, Rho.

Success came with the publication of the first single “Blanc Orange (na na na)”, initially self-published and immediately able to obtain over 300,000 views on YouTube. Rhove is a great sports enthusiast: in fact, he loves parkour and surfing (one of his distinctive features is a surfing wetsuit which he loves to show off in his video clips). His music is contaminated by French urban influences. In fact, his musical inspirations are French rappers and artists such as JUL, Stromae, SCH, Doria and international artists such as Morad.

Furthermore, the rapper was the first Italian artist to enter the Spotify program “RADAR Global”.
