Tonight the 2024 Brit Awards. Where to watch them and the nominations

Music news

The 44th Brit Awards 2024 takes place tonight at London’s O2 Arena at 9pm.

As always, it is one of the most anticipated English events and will see many male and female artists perform on stage, in addition to the ritual of awarding the prizes. Hosted by BBC Radio1 DJ Clara Amfo, Maya Jama and Roman Kemp.

Some numbers from the Brit Awards 2024
There are at least two big news in terms of nominations. The first is linked to the number of artists and bands nominated for the British Artist of the Year and International Artist of the Year awards: it goes from 5 to 10 nominations. The second is the correct splitting of the British Pop/R&B Act category into British Pop Act and British R&B Act. Taking advantage of the social audience, the winners of both categories, as well as the other three genre categories (dance, rock/alternative and hip- hop/grime/rap), will be decided by a public vote via Instagram.

The nominations

The artist who received the most nominations was the British singer Raye (7), followed by the two rappers Central Cee and J Hus (4), followed by a large group formed with three nominations: Calvin Harris, Dave, Dua Lipa, Little Simz, Olivia Dean and Young Fathers (3). With two chances to win, however, we find Blur, Fred Again, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, PinkPantheress, SZA and Yussef Dayes (2). The winners of the Rising Stars, Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year awards have already been announced: The Last Dinner Party, Raye and Chase and Status.
