So far the cause of his death is unknown, but his great companion Lydia Cacho reported that today starting at 12:00 p.m. (local time in Spain) they will be saying goodbye to the producer in Madrid, at the San Isidro Mortuary.

Within her great career, she was head of programming and news producer for MTV LATAM until the year 2000. With more than 100 titles, Fainchtein gave musical identity to some film projects such as Bard, The Revenant, Birdman, Babel, Amores Perros, Biutiful with Alejandro Gonzålez Iñårritu.
He also supervised Rome of Alfonso Cuaron and was currently collaborating in the production of the series One Hundred Years of Solitudewhich will be launched by Netflix.
