The electronic music stars are set to arrive at the Kappa Festival in Turin.
Following a record-breaking edition in 2019 with 60,000 attendees and a digital version in 2020 attracting over 660,000 viewers, the Italian festival showcasing the sportswear brand Kappa (the Kappa FuturFestival) brought together 100,000 festival-goers from 118 countries in 2023, earning the title of Best Global Festival from DJMag.
Returning in 2024 from July 5th to 7th, the festival will feature over a hundred artists across 5 stages including The Blaze, Black Coffee, Carl Cox, Moodymann, Carl Craig, The Blessed Madonna, Bonobo, Four Tet, Floating Points, Jeff Mills, Honey Dijon, Ron Trent, Nina Kraviz, Tale of Us, and Solomun.
Three days of festival in a post-apocalyptic setting
Amidst greenery and scrap metal, the world’s top electronic music acts will perform in this industrial and post-apocalyptic setting. The standout feature of the venue is the immense warehouse of the former steel factory, the steelworks complex where Fiat used to manufacture materials for its cars. Below, a large square with a skate park and play areas has been created; only the steel pillars and concrete walls of other steelworks have been preserved to form a large post-apocalyptic garden.
Further along, attendees will see the cooling towers of the former power plant, where young international street artists leave their mark. Across from the Fiat steel factory was the Michelin factory, now replaced by lawns, trees, and bike paths – the only survivor being a 30-meter-high cooling tower.
