Music news

Karol G She is Woman of the Year. And not only do we say it but Billboardthe popular music magazine in the United States, has given her this recognition within the Billboard Women in Music 2024 awards. And in gratitude for such a prestigious honor, the Colombian soloist has promised a fiery year on a musical level.

“I’m sure a lot of people still don’t know me and don’t know what I’ve done. I wanted to make it clear, because I have so many projects planned, that I want you to know that I’m working towards much bigger things. I’ve literally been making music every day.” “He begins by explaining the one from Medellín at the beginning of his interview. “I am very clear about my plans, my vision for the future and the order in which I want to release (music) and express myself.”

And we have already had the first examples of this activity thanks to Contigo, the song he shares with Tiesto and whose video clip he shot with Young Miko sampling Bleeding love by Leona Lewis. A first step that will be followed by more with the help of producers such as Ovy on the drums.

After Tomorrow will be nice (2022) the bar is very high: “I am very open to experimenting with new sounds. I feel very proud because I am working on it. I am really up to the challenge and I have to move forward. I may be a very important Latin artist, But I still have the whole world ahead of me.”

Karol G, In concert

Among Karol G’s objectives for 2024 will be to appear in large, high-capacity stadiums. A milestone that will be very special for her and that reminds her of the ephemerality of fame: “When I go on stage in a stadium, one of the reasons I cry is because I know that one day all this will end; I will be home remembering the time I was number one. That’s life.”

The Colombian has added a very positive mentality to what awards like this contribute: “It is very significant and inspiring to receive an award that is not only ‘woman of this or that category’ but ‘Woman of the Year’. I feel an enormous responsibility to do the year lived up to the title. I started this year with a completely different mindset. Although this may seem like a beauty queen response, the place I am in now is one of great responsibility and requires me to be very aware of what surround yourself so as not to take false steps.
