During the opening concert of their tour, Godspeed You! Black Emperor dedicated much of his set to the premiere of three new musical pieces.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor began his world tour last Saturday with a concert at the Knockdown Center from New York where he premiered three songs. The Montreal orchestral post rock group is recognized for its long musical pieces and its monumental composition work, characterized by exceptional handling of the tempo musical. The subtle notes become a sonic break mediated by a complex instrumentation that the ensemble executes to perfection. With his anticipated return to the stage and the surprise premiere of his three new musical pieces, the possibility of hearing this new material in the form of a new studio album seems closer than we expected.
