Adele takes a break to take care of her vocal cords

Music news

If there is an artist who gives everything and more for music, that is Adele. The British singer changed her residence to Las Vegas at the end of 2022 to start her first residency show, that is, a series of live performances held in the same venue, over several months. Adele’s American fans – and everyone who travels to Las Vegas – had the opportunity to enjoy the artist in a total of 40 weeks offering concerts every Saturday and Sunday, at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, under the name Weekends with Adele.

An intense season that Adele has enjoyed one hundred percent, but whose amount of work seems to have taken its toll on her. “I’m sure you can notice it in my voice when I speak and sing. Your girl is tired. I haven’t slept very well…“, he told the spectators in the middle of the show. And the fact is that so many concerts in a row, with that voice potential, have fallen into a forced break from the Easy on me.

The artist is not the first time she has suffered from problems with her vocal cords, since in 2011 she had to undergo surgery for a hemorrhage caused by benign polyps in the area. From that moment on, she has to take much more care regarding her voice.

Much of Adele’s concerts are characterized by talking to the audience, telling stories and interacting with those who have come to see her. In one of her last shows she clarified that famous meme of the artist during an NBA game, where she claimed to be angry about the treatment she was receiving from the organization, and in the last concert she decided to confess the state of health in which she is after this long concert tour. She is always close and sincere with those who love her. “After this show, I’m going to give my voice a rest. Can you imagine how difficult it is now not to talk for three days?“, he confessed, making clear the importance of being able to take care of his voice, even more so having previously had difficulties with his vocal cords.

To make light of the matter, the singer joked about how chatty her son and her boy are: “Not only is my partner a charlatan, but so is my son. So I’ll have to lock myself in a closet or something“, he said.

So, Adele continues to take care of her throat to offer the best shows to her fans, who await her with open arms in the live shows that are presented to her in the summer days August 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 16, 23, 24, 30 and 31 at the Munich Messe.
