Since her arrival in Paris 5 years ago, the 23-year-old young artist has been exposed to scrutiny on a daily basis, and sometimes even followed.

One day, while heading home, Maëlle is once again the victim of a stalker who follows her in the metro. That evening had the effect of a trigger and driven by the fear felt during this journey, the young artist immediately wrote the words of her title “Obsessionnel “.

Maëlle: “The goal of the song was for all people to be able to understand both the people being harassed and the harassers. I want people to understand! »

Co-written with the artist Noor, this song comes from a desire to denounce inappropriate behavior and to make the public understand the impact of these actions on the lives of women. Like other artists, Maëlle wishes to get involved in feminist causes. In a poetic and metaphorical text and throughout her album “Fil rouge” she shows a real evolution from young girl to young woman.
