On February 27, 2007, the British group Jamiroquai offered a concert at nothing more and nothing less than 30,000 feet above sea level (9,000 meters).
It was about one promotional action with which the singer of Jamiroquai, Jay Kayentered the Guinness Bookfor being the first singer to offer a concert at that height.
To participate, you only had to answer a simple question about the operation of some music playback devices from the artist’s record company and cross your fingers to become one of the winners.
A group of 200 fans they got on a private plane, a Boeing 757 and, once several rows of seats were removed, it was converted into a stage for an acoustic performance. The passengers boarded the aircraft at the airport Munich, but they did not know the destination to which they were going. After takeoff, Jay Kay appeared before his fans and sang some of his latest songs in full flight. Passengers could only move from the waist up because the rules were that they had to remain seated during the show.
For just over half an hour, the vocalist performed, on air and for a limited audience, some of his biggest hits such as Radio, Feels Just Like It Should, high times, If I Like It, I Do It, Traveling Without Moving either Runaway.
At the end of the performance, the lucky passengers were taken to a secret airport in Europe and from there they were transferred to a luxurious party in a hotel where Jamiroquai once again performed some of his biggest hits live, this time accompanied by his entire band. Topics like Space Cowboy, Little L either Deeper Underground sounded in AthensGreece.
A very original promotion and a dream that every follower of the group would have liked to fulfill.

A year before this high-profile action, Jay Kay decided walk along the Ramblas of Barcelona with a poster of the cover of his album between the indifferent glances of passers-by and the surprised faces of those who were able to recognize him.
It was also a promotional strategy for the, at that time, recently released compilation high timeswhich collected 17 of the most successful singles in Jamiroquai’s career, as well as the unreleased of Radio and Runaway.
Jamiroquai arrived in the 90s. Formed in 1992 by its leader, Jay Kay, along with Toby Smith, Stuart Zender, Nick Van Gelder and Wallis Buchanan. Over time, the band has suffered numerous changesso much so that with the exception of Jason Kay none of the original members remain in the group today. Emergency on Planet Earth, group’s debut album, is born and touched everywhere, obtaining its first number one on UK album charts. Since their first album, Jamiroquai has been an update and update of the funk in the nineties of the 20th century.
The band has managed to sell more than forty million albums worldwide and has won numerous awards such as the Grammy, Brit Award and MTV Video Music Award.
