ANOHNI announces a date in Italy with The Johnsons (Info and tickets)

Music news

ANOHNI arrives in Italy with the band The Johnsons for a single date on June 15th in Ravenna.

The concert draws from his new album “My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross” and songs from his catalog. In her recent work, the artist issued a challenge to herself and the world: “It’s time to hear what’s really happening.”

ANOHNI will be joined by a 9-piece band, including Julia Kent (cello), Maxim Moston (violin), Doug Wieselman (multi-instrumentalist) and Jimmy Hogarth (guitarist/producer).

“My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross” expresses a vision of the world through different types of subjects. Through a personal lens, ANOHNI addresses the loss of loved ones, inequality, alienation, acceptance, cruelty, ecocide, the devastation caused by Abrahamic theologies, the feminism of the future, and the possibility of transforming our ways of thinking, our spiritual ideas, our social structures and our relationships with the rest of nature.
