CENTRAL CEE discovering the number one UK rapper (Watch the video)

Music news

The Wills is the title of the new single from multi-platinum star and British rap phenomenon, CENTRAL CEE.

After his participation as the only English rapper at this year’s Super Bowl, the artist offers an introspective song that is close to a ballad and shows all the talent of the 25-year-old (his real name is Oakley Neil HT Caesar-Su) originally from West London to an Irish mother and a Guyanese father of Ecuadorian origins.

Central Cee sings and raps creating an undeniably addictive chorus that sticks with you after listening. The rapper reflects, with a lyrical and romantic bent, on a relationship born in a club:

You didn’t put on YSL just to go bed all by yourself”.

The official video clip of the song, which was filmed in Brighton, is also online and tells the story of the everyday life of a beautiful, lonely and depressed girl looking for love, ready for an evening of fun with her friends in a club. Interspersed with moments of performances by Central Cee, the cinematic video powerfully reflects and perfectly completes the introspective and reflective message of the single, “If nobody will, I will”.

“I Will” follows the last single released in 2023, “Entrapreneur”, an unfiltered song that tells of the path to success undertaken by the artist in the last two years, during which he found himself climbing the charts all over the world.

Both “I Will” and “Entrapreneur” arrive after the success of Central Cee’s project in collaboration with Dave “Split Decision” which included the single “Sprinter”, the most listened to song of 2023 in the UK on Spotify. The song reached #1 on the UK sales chart and remained there for 10 consecutive weeks. The artist capped off an incredible 2023 with two big collaborations: “Too Much” alongside Kid Laroi and Jung Kook and “Nice To Meet You” with longtime friend PinkPantheress.

THE NUMBERS

Last week Central Cee won 2 additional MOBO Awards, reaching a total of 6, for “Best Male” and “Song of The Year” for “Sprinter”. She also received 4 nominations in the 2024 edition of the Brit Awards, scheduled for March: “Artist of the Year”, “Song of the Year” for “Sprinter” and for “Let Go” and “Best HipHop / Rap / Grime Act ”.

In the last year the artist became the first English rapper to reach 2 billion streams on Spotify and to demonstrate his inimitable rise he has exceeded 6 billion total streams.
