A journey through time.
A song lost in time, or at least that’s what was thought. “Friendly Fire” was recorded during the sessions One More Light in 2017, so we have the presence of the voice of the deceased, Chester Bennington.
In past days, Linkin Park shared a small preview of the song on their social networks, in which we discovered that it has a much more synth pop touch, in the style of the different sound changes they experienced in One More Lightthe album they released before Bennington He took his life in 2017.

In 2020 Mike Shinoda, co-founder of the group, mentioned the existence of this issue. Fans begged to release the song, to which he responded.
You’ll literally have to wait years to hear that song, FYI. I always tell people that when there is news, I give them the news. “We’ve been doing it for a while and I think our expectations for a proper reissue are pretty high,” he said. Shinoda in a press release.
The song will be included in Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023)a greatest hits album from the band that will be released on April 12 through Warner Records.
Definitely “Friendly Fire” stands as a reminder of the strength, vulnerability and incomparable talent of Benningtonwhose voice continues to resonate in the hearts of millions.
