France’s representative at the next Eurovision contest promises to be formidable. Slimane recently demonstrated it on stage in Zagreb, during the Croatian national selections.
Seduction operation. In the race for Eurovision, Slimane has not fallen behind, quite the contrary. Among the first known candidates of the 68th edition of the famous song competition, the final of which will take place on May 11 in Malmö (Sweden), the French singer wants to make known the song he will present in the competition. Unveiled last November, “Mon Amour” is a powerful title that the singer’s fans have made their own.
The singer of “Viens on s’aime” made an impression on New Year’s Eve by singing his song in front of the impressive crowd gathered on the Champs-Elysées to celebrate the transition to 2024. Earlier, behind the scenes of the WECB Music Awards , Slimane introduced his song to the double Eurovision winner and reigning champion, the Swedish Loreen.
This time, on the Croatian scene, the representative of France took a new step by unveiling a version that left its mark. Slimane was in fact the guest of the Dora 2024 festival, which is held in Zagreb and determines the national selection for Eurovision. On stage, Slimane delivered an intense version of his song. But the highlight of the performance was when the singer took a few steps back to resume the chorus a capela, powerfully projecting his voice. A performance that moved and seduced the audience present.
A few weeks before the final, Slimane has a great card to play. In particular, he will perfect his performance during the Eurovision pre-concerts in Barcelona, London and Amsterdam scheduled for next April. One thing is certain, the emotion will be there in Malmö on May 11.
