“What music was listened to in…. ” new appointment with our column. For this episode we returned to the top of 1986 also drawn up by the prestigious English magazine Nme.

1986 is the year of Prince. The Minneapolis artist ranks first among albums with “Parade”, the soundtrack to the film Under the Cherry Moon and also first among singles with his global hit Kiss.

It’s in the singles chart Cameo with his Word Up, Still Intro The Groove of Madonna (already in the 1985 hit) and the massive arrival of rap with i Run DMC by Walk This Way.

Among the albums besides Prince we find ourselves in second place Anita Baker with “Rapture” and number three Janet Jackson with “Control”.

To celebrate those years we have compiled a playlist with the fifty singles.
