‘Drown’, new song by Justin Timberlake

Music news

Just a couple of days. That is how long we will have to wait to be able to enjoy the new song created by Justin Timberlake for your next musical adventure. The soloist has been in charge of confirming the news through his official profile on social networks where he has also offered a small preview.

On February 23, he will release Drown, a song that will become the second single that will be released from his next studio album Everything I thought it was, whose publication is scheduled for March 15. We must remember that almost a month ago we heard the first business card of this LP, Selfish, which was full of winks and references to musical influences from the now soloist and former member of NSync.

But it’s about to break us / Showed me exactly who you are and I should’ve believed it / Leave me alone out in the dark with all of the demons / Got caught up in the tide / Of all the tears you cried / Yeah, you know I was blinded by my heart sinking from the start / Should’ve never followed you this far, now / I’m in the deep end / And you let mе drown / You didn’t even try to save me“Justin Timberlake can be heard singing in the teaser with which he presented the song and in which he advances his piano sound.

Along with the song’s acoustic preview video, Justin writes that he just arrived “in London, still recovering from this flu. But trying to get by. So excited for the new music and everything coming this week… DROWN 2/23”. The American artist leaves us with the intrigue of everything that is going to arrive that week in addition to his new song that will continue to reveal his next album.

Now we just need to investigate a little more to find out who this song is dedicated to. During the last interview with Zane Lowe, the performer said that he felt “very good with the thoughts, emotions and feelings that have arisen in writing these songs and with the people with whom I have collaborated and with whom I have shared these moments. I feel that I have been able, in some of the songs, to look at the past and have a real, unrefracted perspective of what has been; because you always hear that there is never truth, there is only each person’s perspective on what happened, but to really look at it and be able to metabolize and verbalize my perspective on it is something I don’t think I’ve ever done before.”

An album that he has worked on for a long period of time. Let’s remember that she hasn’t released an album for 6 years since man of the woods: “I worked for a long time on this album and ended up with 100 songs. Reducing them to 18 was a challenge and now I am very excited about this album. I think all artists say it, but it is my best work.”
