“Why Sanremo is Sanremo” the documentary broadcast on Rai 1

Music news

After 74 editions, the Sanremo Festival is increasingly younger, an event that goes far beyond music.

For a week the Festival invades the schedules, newspapers and, for a few years, even social media. A media phenomenon that reflects the sentiment of our country.

This and the history of the Festival are discussed in the documentary co-produced by Rai Documentari and Eliseo Entertainment “Why Sanremo is Sanremo”, broadcast this evening, Wednesday 21 February, in prime time on Rai 1.

The history of the event, the great successes, the scandals, but also a dramatic event and heavy controversies. And then, the political events and news stories that crossed Italy during the various editions, in a kaleidoscope of stories, songs, characters and extras, grouped into a single great popular tale. A journey dedicated to music, emotions and the magic of the Ariston stage. A special evening dedicated to the Festival, signed by Giovanni Filippetto and Michele Truglio.

ON AIR

“Because Sanremo is Sanremo”, broadcast on Wednesday 21 February at 9.30pm on Rai 1.
