METZ announces album and shares two tracks

Music news

The Canadian group builds a new noise-rock atmosphere through their next album and previews two singles full of energy: ““Entwined (Street Light Buzz)” and “99”.

METZ announced new musical material titled, Up On Gravity Hill. The new album will also accompany the band on an upcoming tour of the United States and Europe that will begin next April.

Up On Gravity Hill It was recorded together with the producer Seth Manchester –known for his productions in works by artists such as Lingua Ignota, Mdou Moctar and battles– and aims to be an album that pushes noise into new and more complex possibilities, oscillating between the characteristic abrasion of METZ and more emotional sound spaces.

They couldn’t be more different stylistically and thematically. ‘‘Entwined (Street Light Buzz)’ It’s a song about the deep connection that people can have with each other… ’99’ is about the cruelty of corporate greed…”, he commented Alex Edkinsguitarist of METZ.

The two singles that METZ has shared in anticipation of Up On Gravity Hill They demonstrate a sonic advance that travels from noise to more melodic nuances and that ensure a wide musical diversity. ““Entwined (Street Light Buzz)” and “99” are two tracks that confirm the musical evolution of METZ and that they build a challenge full of energy that explores the power and strength that exists in noise-rock.
