Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar, appears in a never-before-seen photo from the film about the life of the King of Pop, shared by Lionsgate. Their resemblance is uncanny.

Are we witnessing the reappearance of Michael Jackson? A few months after videos from the filming of the Michael Jackson biopic were shared on social networks, the first official image from the film has just been revealed.

We discover the nephew of the king of pop, Jaafar Jackson, in the shoes of his uncle, on stage. His expressions, his face, his clothes… Everything is incredibly similar to Michael Jackson during his performance on “Man in The Mirror”, during his 1992 tour.

The photo was taken by Kevin Mazur, the man who photographed the King of Pop’s concerts in the 90s.

Who is Jaafar Jackson?

Jaafar Jackson, 27, is the son of Jermaine Jackson, older brother of Michael, who also belonged to the Jackson 5 group.

“I am so honored to be able to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life. To all the fans around the world, see you soon.», Jaafar Jackson reacted on his Instagram account, after the formalization of his role, in January 2023.

When will the Michael Jackson biopic be released?

The biopic which will be called “Michael” should be released in cinemas in April 2025. This film will look back on the life and career of the American artist: from his beginnings with the Jackson 5 through his solo launch and his triumphs on stage until the end of his life at age 50.

The feature film about the king of pop, who died in 2009, is directed by American filmmaker Antoine Fuqua, known for his film “Training Day”.
