LIL TJAY, a young New York rapper, arrives in Italy with his first date at the Milan Forum which will be held on Saturday 4 May 2024.
Before 21-year-old New York native LIL TJAY became an Internet heartbreaker with millions of streams, he was just a kid from the Bronx, but a closer listen to his discography reveals the tale of a child who survived the mistakes of adults and to their consequences even before I was old enough to drive.
Growing up in a New York neighborhood saturated with gang culture and lacking in positivity, LIL TJAY set out to find better ways to realize his musical dreams, finding his destiny in the recording studio. His first studio recording resulted in “Resume,” a merciless track followed by his first online hit with “Brothers.” Since then he has collaborated with notable musicians such as YG, Pop Smoke, Tory Lanez and 6LACK.
In 2021 comes the turning point with the single “Calling My Phone” which reaches the top of several streaming charts together with 6LACK. This viral track was then followed by his highly anticipated second album “Destined 2 Win” in April 2021, which debuted at no. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart.
LIL TJAY completed his Beat The Odds Tour across North America, Australia and New Zealand in December in support of his 2023 album “222.” The highly anticipated album comes after a pivotal moment in Lil Tjay’s life as he survived a traumatic shooting in June 2022. “222” embodies his journey in music, pushing the boundaries of vulnerability, storytelling and artistry in the realm of hip-hop. The 15-track album boasts collaborations including Polo G, NBA Youngboy, Summer Walker, Kid Laroi and more. In January 2024 he returned with the single “Told Ya”, produced by LuciG and AwkwardCrazy.
