The 1975 resumes “ Now Is the Hour “, made famous by Bing Crosby in the 1940s, for the soundtrack of “ The New Look “.

The 1975 have shared a new single, “ Now Is the Hour “. This piano ballad is a cover of an early 20th century song of Maori origin, made famous by Bing Crosby in 1947 and later sung by Frank Sinatra. She will appear on the soundtrack of the Apple TV+ series The New Lookproduced by Jack Antonoff.

Now Is the Hour » is the second single taken from the soundtrack, after Florence + the Machine’s cover of the song “ White Cliffs of Dover » by Vera Lynn (1941), released in January. The collection is the first release on Antonoff’s new label, Shadow of the City, which will be part of the Dirty Hit label. Lana Del Rey, Nick Cave, Perfume Genius, and Antonoff’s own band Bleachers also appear, each covering mid-century classics appropriate to the show’s era.
