2025: the five most anticipated albums of the year

After a year 2024 rich in musical outings, 2025 promises great surprises. Between Lady Gaga, The Weeknd or Damso, here are five albums already confirmed that we can't wait to listen to!

A great musical year is coming to an end. 2024 was punctuated by incredible album releases. On the international side, we think in a non -exhaustive way of “Hit Me Hard and Soft” by Billie Eillis, “Radical Optimism” by Dua Lipa, without forgetting “Short N 'Sweet” by Sabrina Carpenter.

In France, this year will have been marked by the release of several particularly personal albums for artists. Among them, “my blood” by Clara Luciani, “Live …” by Kendji Girac, “every second” by Pierre Garnier, or “Solo” by Louane.

When reserves the year 2025? To start the year well, WECB offers you a selection of five already confirmed albums that will enchant you!

“Balloonism” – Mac Miller (January 17)

After “Circles” broadcast in 2020, “Balloonism” will be Mac Miller's second posthumous album. The rapper, who disappeared in 2018 at the age of 26, had designed this album ten years ago. From January 17, his listeners will be able to listen to this opus paying tribute to him.

“Hurry Up Tomorrow” – The Weeknd (January 24)

The Weeknd is preparing to conclude his musical trilogy with “Hurry Up Tomorrow”, a sixth studio album expected on January 24, 2025. This outing-event will be accompanied by a spectacular concert at Pink Bowl de Pasadena. The Canadian artist has already unveiled several extracts from his next album, including “Timeless”, in duet with the American rapper Playboi Carti.

“LG7” (unofficial title) – Lady Gaga (during February)

Four years after “Chromatica”, Lady Gaga intends to mark her return with a grandiose project. The opus nicknamed “LG7”, pending its official title, is scheduled for next February. This is the seventh studio album by the Mother Monster. His first extract, “Disease” was already unveiled on October 25, to the delight of his fans.

“The right person will stay” – Lana del Rey (May 21)

Two years after the release of her latest project, Lana Del Rey returns with “The Right Person Will Stay”, a tenth studio album planned for the spring. The interpreter of “Young and Beautiful” surrounded himself for this project, notably Jack Antonoff, who made hits for Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar.

“Beyah” – Damso (May 30)

After a break in his career, then the release of his project “I lied” last November, Damso will return in May with his fifth and final project “Beyah”. The Belgian artist revealed an extract exclusively, during a session at the studio immediately left by his fans.
